A2X Multi vs Taxomate: the monthly price math

Price is the reason sellers mention most often when they leave A2X. On A2X's public multi-channel page, each Multi plan has an order limit and a sales-channel limit. Taxomate's Growth plan has an order limit only. The A2X prices below are from A2X's price list effective November 14, 2026.

  • 1,000 combined orders: A2X Multi $95/month (from November 14, 2026) for up to 2 channels. Taxomate $55/month. You save $40 a month.
  • 5,000 combined orders: A2X Multi $179/month (from November 14, 2026) for up to 4 channels. Taxomate $85/month. You save $94 a month.

At each of these tiers, Taxomate Growth costs less than A2X Multi: 42% less at 1,000 orders, 53% less at 5,000, and 48% less at 10,000. If you add a sixth channel, your Taxomate price does not change.

How to switch from A2X without double-posting

The main risk when you switch is posting the same payout twice. Keep A2X connected until Taxomate posts your first payout correctly. Then use this order:

  1. Pick a cutover date. Find the last payout A2X posted to your books. Taxomate will post only payouts deposited after that date.
  2. Connect your sales channels and your accounting software. Leave Auto Sync off for now.
  3. Set your posting format. Match what your books expect from A2X (see the next section).
  4. Send one payout manually. Pick the first payout after your cutover date. Compare the entry with your bank deposit.
  5. Turn on Auto Sync. Set the auto-post start date to your cutover date. Then disconnect A2X.

Do not send payouts that A2X already posted. Annual plans include all your history, so you can review older payouts in Taxomate without posting them.

Keep the posting format your books expect

Your accountant and your reports expect entries in a certain shape. Taxomate lets you set that shape before the first post:

  • Line grouping: Group lines by SKU, by transaction type, or by order. Some tax settings limit these choices.
  • Xero status: Post invoices as Draft, Awaiting Approval, or Approved.
  • QuickBooks Online: Post journal entries or sales invoices.

Check these settings against a recent A2X entry before you send your first payout.

When A2X is still the better choice

A2X has a strong reputation with accountants. If your accounting firm runs all of its clients on A2X and will not support another tool, staying may be the simpler choice.
